Biography

Alireza Shavali is a postdoctoral researcher in the Arithmetic Geometry group at Heidelberg University, working with Prof. Dr. Judith Ludwig. He is part of the CRC-326 GAUS (Geometry and arithmetic of uniformized structures). He completed his PhD in Mathematics at Heidelberg University (2021-2025) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gebhard Böckle, and holds an MSc in Mathematics from Sharif University of Technology, Iran (2018-2021). His research focuses on the arithmetic aspects of the Langlands programme, p-adic Galois representations, automorphic forms, and the geometry of eigenvarieties. His recent work includes studies on the image of automorphic Galois representations and the endomorphism algebra of abelian varieties associated with Hilbert modular forms.

Research Interests

Arithmetic aspects of the Langlands programme, p-adic Galois representations, p-adic families of automorphic forms, irreducibility of automorphic Galois representations, computing monodromy, geometry of eigenvarieties
